(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Azerbaijani ForeignMinister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the head of the TurkishParliament's delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, formerTurkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Azerbaijani ministrytold Trend .
The meeting centered on the issues arising from the alliedrelations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as the currentsituation in the region in the post-conflict period.
Minister Bayramov expressed gratitude to Cavusoglu for hiscontribution to the strong friendly relations existing between thetwo countries.
It was highlighted that there is potential for enhanced mutualsupport and cooperation within regional and internationalorganizations, notably within the Organization of Turkic States(OTS). Specifically, emphasis was placed on President IlhamAliyev's commitment to the OTS, affirming that efforts to advancethis organization will persist in the future.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the concern over theunilateral stances taken by several countries outside the region,which pose a threat to regional peace and the delicatenormalization process amidst discussions on the post-conflictperiod, the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, ongoingnegotiations, and current challenges.
Cavusoglu expressed contentment with his visit, acknowledgingthe fruitful exchange of views and warm hospitality. He affirmedhis commitment to further develop cooperation between the twocountries, both during his tenure as Türkiye's Foreign Minister andin his current position.
It was reiterated that Türkiye consistently supportsAzerbaijan's just position and concerns regarding threats toregional peace and security.
Additionally, during the meeting, both sides engaged indiscussions on other issues of mutual interest.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with thehead of the Turkish Parliament's delegation to the NATOParliamentary Assembly, former Turkish Foreign Minister MevlutCavusoglu, Trend reports, referring to the minister's X account.
"Today, I had a productive meeting with Mevlut Cavusoglu, thehead of the Turkish Grand National Assembly delegation to the NATOPA. We extensively discussed bolstering allied relations, enhancingmultilateral cooperation between our nations, and the regionalsituation in the post-conflict period," the post reads.
To note, Cavusoglu arrived in Azerbaijan on April 3. A number ofbilateral meetings are planned as part of the visit.
