Jordan Explores Economic, Parliamentary Ties With Malaysia And Bulgaria

Amman, Jan. 23 (Petra) -- Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmed Safadi held separate meetings on Tuesday with the Malaysian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Muhammad Nasri bin Abdul Rahman, and the Bulgarian Ambassador, Metin Kazak. The discussions centered on ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, with a particular focus on parliamentary collaboration.
During the meeting with the Malaysian ambassador, Safadi and his counterpart emphasized the significance of strengthening economic and investment ties between their respective countries.
Both parties underscored the shared commitment of Jordan and Malaysia to halting the aggression against the Gaza Strip, providing urgent relief to its residents, and advocating for a two-state solution to safeguard the rights of Palestinians. The paramount among these rights is the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
In the meeting with the Bulgarian ambassador, Safadi stressed the importance of bolstering cooperation in diverse areas, including economic and educational realms. The discussions also highlighted the promising opportunities in the tourism sector for both countries, with a commitment to fortify parliamentary relations for the mutual benefit of the two nations.
