Defense Forces Spox: Russian Missile Threat From Sea Persisting

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The threat of Russian missile attacks from the sea is remaining high.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Humeniuk, Russia's frigate Admiral Essen is now on combat duty.

“It is equipped with eight missiles. A surface missile carrier, which can launch attacks all over Ukraine. Thus, the missile threat is remaining high,” Humeniuk said, adding that deploying a missile carrier before night usually indicates preparations for a certain situation.

In her words, this may be related to localized strikes or massive attacks. Hence, it is necessary for people to react to possible air raid alerts properly.

A reminder that, on the night of August 27, 2023, Ukraine's Air Force intercepted four Russian cruise missiles over central and northern regions.
