(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian aircraft launched ten strikes on areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated and hit an anti-aircraft missile system in the last 24 hours. The General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine said this in a post on facebook , Ukrinform reports.
"Last night, the Russian Federation carried out another air attack on Ukraine using Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack drones. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified. Over the past day, the enemy carried out three missile strikes, 41 airstrikes and launched 74 MLRS attacks against the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged," the post reads.
The probability of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high, the General Staff said.
Some 36 combat engagements took place on the front line in the last 24 hours.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna sectors, the enemy carried out airstrikes outside Chervona Zoria and Veterynarne, Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 25 settlements, including Karpovychi and Hremiach in the Chernihiv region, Seredyna-Buda, Rozhkovychi and Vodolahy in the Sumy region, and Strilecha, Vovchansk, Krasnyi Yar and Zemlianka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Synkivka, Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Kurylivka, Kyslivka and Hlushkivka in the Kharkiv region. The following settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes outside Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirne, Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, including Nevske, Kreminna and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Sviato-Pokrovske, Spirne and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions east of Bila Hora and Toretsk of the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted airstrikes near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bila Hora, Dyliivka, Pleshchiivka and New York of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.
In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Novokalynove and Avdiivka, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Tonenke, Sieverne, Nevelske, Netailove and Karlivka in the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the Marinka sector, Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops outside Marinka and Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Krasnohorivka area. More than ten settlements, including Hostre, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka and Antonivka of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
On the Shakhtarske axis, the enemy launched an airstrike near Staromaiorske. More than ten settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Urozhaine and Rivnopil of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Zatyshshia, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Piatykhatky and Plavni in the Zaporizhzhia region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Kherson sector, more than 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery fire, including Mykhailivka, Antonivka, Kherson and Dniprovske of the Kherson region, and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region.
At the same time, Ukraine's defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors, consolidating their positions and carrying out counter-battery measures.
Over the past 24 hours, units of rocket forces and artillery have struck two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy, four artillery pieces in firing positions, two command posts and two electronic warfare stations of the enemy," the General Staff said.
