(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian aircraft launched ten strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment on Saturday, August 12. According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine said this in a post on facebook .
"In the last 24 hours, the Russian occupiers launched 7 missile strikes, 47 air strikes and carried out 43 attacks using multiple rocket launchers on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed," the post reads.
The probability of further missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remains high, the General Staff warned.
Thirty-nine combat engagements took place along the front line in the last 24 hours, the report said.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna sectors, the enemy launched an air strike outside Huriiv Kozachok, Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 20 settlements, including Kliusy in the Chernihiv region, Rozhkovychi, Kindrativka, Loknia, Uhroidy and Popivka in the Sumy region, as well as Udy, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Okhrimivka and Budarky in the Kharkiv region.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions northeast of Synkivka, north of Kyslivka, and southeast of Andriivka in the Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out air strikes near Kyslivka and Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region. The settlements of Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy carried out air strikes outside Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Serebrianka, Siversk, Spirne and Vesele, Donetsk region. More than ten settlements, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Torske, Verkhniokamianske and Spirne in the Donetsk region were hit by enemy artillery fire.
On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Klishchiivka and Bila Hora, Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an air strike outside Blahodatne. More than 15 settlements, including Minkivka, Markove, Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, Dyliivka and Toretsk, Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka sector, under heavy fire from the enemy's aircraft and artillery, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near Avdiivka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike in the Avdiivka area. More than ten settlements, including Avdiivka, Sieverne, Netailove, Nevelske and Karlivka, Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the Marinka sector, Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near Marinka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. More than ten settlements, including Oleksandropil, Maksymilianivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka and Yelyzavetivka, Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

About 15 settlements, including Bohoiavlenka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Staromaiorske, Novosilka and Novopil in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy fired artillery at more than 25 settlements, including Levadne, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Pavlivka and Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia region, and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the Kherson sector, more than 25 settlements were hit by enemy artillery fire, among them Mykhailivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Berehove and Veletenske, Kherson region, and Kutsurub and Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region.
At the same time, Ukraine's defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors, made limited gains near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, are entrenching themselves on the achieved lines and carry outing counter-battery measures.
According to the General Staff, panic is growing among the occupiers and the number of desertions is increasing. In the temporarily occupied settlement of Hornostaivka, Kherson region, patrols and servicemen of the commandant's office of the Russian occupation forces visit every house in order to search for deserters among their troops. The command is resorting to such actions due to the growing number of not only deserters, but also people who consume alcoholic beverages and drugs among newly mobilized Russian military personnel. The occupiers leave their places of service and try to hide in abandoned buildings.
"In the past 24 hours, the aircraft of the [Ukrainian] defense forces carried out ten strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated. Units of rocket forces and artillery hit an anti-aircraft missile system, an ammunition depot, an electronic warfare station, and three artillery pieces of the enemy," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
