Belgian weapons dealer, Freddy Versluys, declared that the auction of the tanks on Tuesday, informing numerous press sources that an unidentified European district had bought them for a secret rate.

The Belgian administration debated purchasing the Leopards with Versluys previously this year, however, eventually declined to pay the EUR500,000 (USD549,000) each tank that he was demanding. Belgian Defense Minister, Ludivine Dedonder, depicted the requested rate as “unreasonable,” taking into account that Versluys had purchased the tanks as “scrap metal.”
