(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - The Department of Antiquities and the American Center for Research on Tuesday signed three agreements for the restoration of heritage sites, namely the Byzantine Church of Aqaba, Karak Castle with its surrounding towers and the Beit Ras Theatre, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Implementation will be carried out by the Antiquities Department. Besides the planned project execution, the agreement also includes the formation of a committee to monitor progress and facilitate procedures.
