Iranian Leader condemns indiscriminate terrorist attack on political rally


(MENAFN) Iranian Leader Ebrahim Raisi has condemned an indiscriminate terrorist attack on a Political rally in northwest Pakistan that killed at least 44 citizens.

On Sunday, Leader Raisi issued a message of sympathy to Pakistani premier Shehbaz Sharif and the friendly and brotherly citizens of Pakistan.

“We believe that such inhumane and criminal actions will result in no outcome but disgraceful to its perpetrators,” Raisi remarked.

On the same day, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian firmly denounced the terrorist bomb attack in Pakistan's tribal province of Bajaur.

The top diplomat sent condolences to the victims' families, the Pakistani administration, as well as his colleague, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

"Effective fight against terrorism and extremism is a common security concern for both countries," Amir Abdollahian stated, while pointing out that “Terrorism is the ominous phenomenon of our time.”

On Sunday, Nasser Kanaani, the Foreign Ministry's representative, stated that terrorists had executed yet another crime in Pakistan, a friendly neighbor.
