Four Russian Missile Carriers On Combat Duty In Black Sea
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Four Russian Kalibr-type cruise missile carriers are remaining on combat duty in the Black Sea. The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“[Russia's] naval group [in the Black Sea] is still rather big – up to 10 vessels. But, the number of missile carriers has reduced. During the night attack, there were six missile carriers on the combat course, and the total missile capacity was 36 units, of which ten were used. Now, two missile carriers entered Sevastopol. Two surface missile ships and two submarines are remaining on combat duty with a potential volley of up to 24 Kalibr-type missiles,” Humeniuk told.
Earlier, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on six Russian missile ships remaining combat ready in the Black Sea with a total volley of 22 missiles.
On the night of July 6, 2023, Russia launched another missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed seven out of 10 Kalibr-type cruise missiles.
