Norway To Host A Forum On Afghanistan In Mid-June

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Some international media have reported that Norway will host a grand meeting on Afghanistan in mid-June, in which high-level representatives from Western countries and the region will participate and discuss Afghanistan issues.

It is still not clear who will represent Afghanistan at the forum which will be held from June 13-15 in Oslo, the capital city of Norway.

The meeting is aimed at discussing Afghanistan's current situation and assessing the Taliban's promises made to the international community since the group seized power in August 2021.

It is believed this meeting will be the final push of the international community to find ways to continue interacting with the Taliban-run administration.

Certain Pakistani media have reported that Hina Rabbani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Asif Ali Durrani, Pakistan's special envoy for Afghanistan will attend the Oslo forum.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has reported from an official visit of Hina Rabbani to Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Belgium in the coming days.

The announcement of the foreign ministry says that Mrs. Rabbani will participate in the annual meeting of the Council of Europe on Foreign Relations in Sweden as a keynote speaker.

She will represent Pakistan's perspectives on global and regional issues, and interact with decision-makers, leading European experts to discuss foreign policy priorities and challenges.
