Ooredoo Receives Top CSR Recognition

Doha: Ooredoo has been recognised at a gala dinner honouring organisations in Qatar for their corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Ooredoo received the award for Best CSR Initiatives in the ICT Sector at the Qatar CSR Awards 2023 Gala Dinner. The awards ceremony formed part of Qatar CSR Summit 2023, held at Qatar University College of Business and Economics from May 16-18.

Moza Khalid Al Muhannadi - Director CSR, Sponsorship and media at Ooredoo – received the award at the Gala Dinner on behalf of the company. As part of Ooredoo's participation in the Summit, Moza delivered a presentation providing an overview of Ooredoo's CSR initiatives, during which she launched a new initiative with partner Seashore to promote and encourage sustainability.

The initiative enabled the techco's customers to bring their unwanted devices to be recycled and receive Nojoom Points as a reward.

Ooredoo acted as Exclusive Telecommunications Sponsor at Qatar CSR Summit 2023, which was held under the patronage of H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.

Stakeholders from both the public and private sectors benefited from the opportunity to explore the integration of CSR into core business, as well as build relationships with key partners in both sectors to promote their brands and initiatives.
