230 Ukrainians Returned From Russian Captivity Over Past Week - Yusov

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Over the past week, 230 Ukrainians were returned from Russian captivity.

This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during the telethon "United News", Ukrinform reports.

"This is a real miracle, but, of course, there is a lot of hard work behind this miracle. And the work is hard, because we are talking about, no matter how difficult it is to say, a certain interaction with the occupiers, with the aggressor state, regarding exchanges. With a state that disregards international law, that mostly does not value the lives of even its own military and citizens. Nevertheless, Ukraine is using all the tools it can to get its people back. And over the past week, 230 people have been returned," Yusov said.

He clarified that "we cannot discuss many details right now, the details will be known later after the victory and after the last prisoner returns home."

"But now we understand that the work is ongoing and we are waiting for the next news and the next exchanges. They will definitely happen. Everyone must return," the representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized.

As reported, on April 16, Ukraine and Russia conducted an Easter prisoner exchange: 130 Ukrainian defenders returned home.
