(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, backed the return of a remuneration of UAH 30,000 for military personnel, Police officers and employees of the State Emergency Service. MP from the European Solidarity parliamentary faction, Oleksiy Honcharenko, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, 277 MPs voted for the adoption of the law "On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine Regarding Improvement of legal Regulation of Issues Related to the Implementation of Measures of the Legal Regime of Martial Law."
The return of additional payments to Ukrainian defenders is envisaged in a relevant amendment to the draft law, which was supported by 254 MPs.
Honcharenko emphasized that an allowance of UAH 30,000 will be paid until the end of the legal regime of martial law.
"During the period of martial law, an additional monthly remuneration of UAH 30,000 will be paid to military personnel, rank-and-file members and senior officers of the civil defense service, and police officers, regardless of the tasks assigned to them or the areas of service," the text of the amendment reads.
At the same time, additional payments to the defenders will be returned by limiting the financial support for employees and officials of budget institutions to 10 minimum salaries established on January 1, 2023.
As reported, from February 1, 2023, the procedure for paying extra payments to the military has changed. Now the payments directly depend on the areas of soldiers' stay, the difficulty and specifics of their performance of combat or special tasks.
