Occupied Jerusalem, Apr. 9 (Petra) -Head of Supreme Islamic Commission (SIC) in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque Preacher, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, stressed the importance of Jordan's role at all levels in caring for Al-Aqsa Mosque, supporting it and defending it politically, referring to Jordan-run Islamic Endowments Department's efforts in the occupied city of Jerusalem in this regard.
In exclusive statements to "Petra" reporter in Ramallah on Sunday, Sabri noted synchronization of extremist settlers' incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque with Jewish holidays is a "new-old" policy harnessed by hard-line Jewish groups to establish a presence within the mosque's courtyards.
Noting Al-Aqsa Mosque is a clear and exclusive right for Muslims alone, he added that all Judaizing schemes against it are doomed to fail.
He also called on orchestrating Palestinian and Islamic efforts to foil the Israeli government and its extremist settlers' plans to realize their goals aimed to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque temporally and spatially.
