Egypt Condemns Israeli Police Raid Of Al-Aqsa Mosque


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, April 5 (KUNA) -- Egypt condemned on Wednesday Israeli Police raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, leading to the arrest and injury of several Palestinian worshippers.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement considered that repeated Israeli violations of the sanctity of holy places fuel feelings of resentment and anger among all the Palestinians, Muslims worldwide.
The statement also called on the Israeli authorities to an immediately halt of attacks against worshipers during the days of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
"Egypt holds Israel, the occupying power, responsible for this dangerous escalation which could undermine the truce efforts in which Egypt is engaged with its regional and international partners," added in a statement.(end)
