Militant Attack Kills 2 Security Personnel In SW Pakistan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISLAMABAD, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- At least two security personnel were killed when their check post came under attack by the armed militants in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, said officials on Tuesday.
A senior administrative official, Assistant Commissioner Barkat Baloch told media that two Levies personnel were killed after their check post came under attack in the Babri area of Balochistan's Mastung district.
He said the bodies of the 'martyred' personnel had been moved to a hospital.
The official said that law enforcement personnel had launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers. No group has so far has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Earlier last week, at least three 'terrorists' and five security personnel were killed in an attack on the office of the Karachi police chief in Pakistan's southern Karachi city.
A banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack. (end)
