While Ruggedized Laptops offer the flexibility for military users to get the job done while enduring extreme environmental conditions, they often don't include a high-performance discrete GPU to process graphic intensive datasets in the field. This is critical for a range of applications but primarily for operators that require the ability to extract 3D information from hundreds or thousands of photographs (e.g. photogrammetry) in near real time.
