Boris Johnson dismisses doubts about his leadership as 'political commentary,' amid reports that several Tory MPs may move to Labor

(MENAFN) Boris Johnson has dismissed doubts about his leadership as "political commentary," as speculation grows that a handful of his own MPs may switch to the Labor Party.

When asked about the claims, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told reporters, "These are matters for commentators."

Mr. Johnson went on to say that his role is to "carry on with the agenda" that his administration has established.

"I think this really falls into the category of political commentary which I think I leave to distinguished journalists such as yourself," the PM informed reporters.

When pressed further on his remark regarding "political commentary," Mr. Johnson said, "I think it's my job to talk about our policies, what we're doing for the country, what's going on at the G7."

"There are plenty of people that could offer their opinion on that."

When asked if his premiership would end if lifelong Conservatives defected to the Labor Party, the PM said, "There are plenty of people who can offer political commentary, that's what they're paid to do, leave it to them."

"My job is to get on and deliver the agenda we've got, it’s a massive agenda, I'm very excited by it. We are making huge amount of progress on all sorts of fronts - I'm going to leave that to you."
