(MENAFN) As the parliamentary votes started in Lebanon on Sunday, voters uttered hope that new representatives are going to recover the nation's ailing economy and stop people’s issues.
Elections stations in Lebanon started in the morning at 07:00 AM (0400 GMT) and will likely finish at 19:00 PM (1600 GMT), where more than 3.91 million eligible voters are going to cast their ballot.
Anadolu Agency contacted with some Lebanese voters in Beirut who uttered hope that the nation is going to soon find a remedy for its crises following the elections.
Mohammad Eitani, aged 50, stated today is a day for change and wished that polls could stop Lebanon's issues.
Hala Kousa, aged 27, said: “Former officials used to make promises which they never honored.”
Ali Haraka, 55, stated: “I didn't want to participate in the elections, but now I changed my mind.”
“I want to vote to protect the resistance," he declared in reference to the Hezbollah faction.
