Germans have voted for their North Rhine-Westphalia ruler


(MENAFN) The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has taken in the victory with the votes in the west German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, as announced by ARD and ZDF, German public broadcasters.

Meanwhile, the former ruling CDU/FDP (Free Democrats) coalition does not have more counts. Depending on the new numbers, the Free Democratic Party (FDP) as well as far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) should put concerns about going back to the state parliament in Dusseldorf.

As put in term before, the radical leftist party The Left is not going to be symbolized in the state parliament. As the figures from ARD and ZDF, CDU reached 35 percent, coming after that the Social Democratic Party (SPD) with 27.5-28 percent.

In the third position, the pro-environment Greens settled with 18-18.5 percent. The FDP, which formerly made the state regimen with the CDU, soars at 5-5.5 percent. The AfD closed at 5.5-6 percent, meanwhile The Left is lower till 5 percent.
