Japan's New Sanctions Against Russia Affect 130 Individuals, Including Prime Minister


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Japan has introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on Telegram , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The sanctions affected 130 individuals, including the Prime Minister of Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, leaders of the so-called 'L/DPR', and others,” Yermak wrote.

In his words, the expanded list of sanctions also includes companies and organizations related to the defense sector.

A reminder that Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stated earlier that Japan had agreed to impose an embargo on Russian crude oil imports as part of the G7 decision.
