PM Shmyhal: Ukraine Receives €4.5B In Aid From International Partners During War

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) During the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine has received 4.5 billion euros in financial assistance from international partners.

'Ukraine has already received 4.5 billion euros from our international partners and friends. Over the past week, the World Bank transferred 500 million dollars,' Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at the Cabinet's meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

This is grant funding that will not need to be repaid, the PM stressed.

The Head of Government thanked the international community for support and noted that the provided aid helped to pay all social benefits in full and launch new assistance programs.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy key infrastructure facilities, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles, terrorize civilians in the temporarily occupied territories.
