Uzbekistan decreases volume of peanuts exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Uzbekistan has exported 4,200 tons of peanuts to 22 countries in the amount of $4.8 million from January through February 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

Peanut exports decreased by 288 tons compared to the corresponding period last year.

The biggest amount of peanuts were exported from the country's Samarkand region, which amounted to 1,500 tons, followed by the Surkhandarya region (947 tons). Tashkent region is in third place (513 tons), Jizzakh region comes next (327 tons).

During this period, most of the peanuts were exported to Azerbaijan in the amount of 974 tons, followed by Kazakhstan (963 tons), Russia (434 tons), and Afghanistan (326 tons).
