Ukraine - Two oil depots are on fire in Zhytomyr region after air strikes


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The oil depots in Zhytomyr city and the town of Chernyakhiv caught on fire as a result of enemy air strikes.

'On March 7, at about 20:20, two air strikes hit oil depots in Zhytomyr and Chernyakhiv,' the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

Rescuers inform that a tank with a capacity of 10 cubic meters caught on fire in Zhytomyr. No casualties were reported.

In the village of Chernyakhiv, two half-empty tanks caught on fire (capacity to be determined). Residents were evacuated from nearby private houses. No casualties were reported.

On February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, conducting massive shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launcher systems, and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
