Columbia Sportswear sees growth in holiday shopping sales

(MENAFN) On Friday, EO Tim Boyle said to CNBC’s Jim Cramer, the robust Q4 revenue of Columbia Sportswear was backed with buyers doing their holiday shopping earlier previous years.

Stakes of the outdoor-focused apparel maker hiked 5 percent, after Columbia Sportswear announced its 64 percent year-on-year climb in net profit in fourth quarter and released strong full-year leadership.

Boyle mentioned, “In today’s environment where there was so much impact on supply chain, shortages really all over the world, I think we were helped a bit because consumers moved earlier to buy whatever they needed for their holiday and winter products,” adding “that made for lack of promotional activity in our stores and also through our retail partners. Their promotions were smaller, as well.”
