Doha: More than 6 million transactions have been completed through Metrash2 in 2021, an officer from the Ministry of Interior disclosed today. There are over 2 million active users, and they can access more than 250 services on the app 24 hours a day.
“The most used services during 2021 were residency renewal, visa extension, vehicle ownership transfer, renew vehicle, add/update national address, and traffic violations payment,” said first lieutenant Ali Al-Eidrous from the General Directorate of Information Systems at the Ministry of Interior.
Speaking at a webinar today on 'E-Services of the Ministry of Interior', he said that“more than 6 million transactions have been completed in 2021 through the Ministry of Interior (MoI)'s e-service app Metrash2 compared to 7 million transactions in 2020.”
He also said that among the services that are in great demand are residency services which include automatic RP renewal, change passport, residency cancelation, and issuing residence permits among others.
The webinar focused on features of Metrash2, service requirements, method of activation, service categories, service menu, general services offered through Metrash2, recently added services, zero click concept, automatic residency renewal, information security of Metrash2, and smart dashboard.
The webinar was organized by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior in association with the General Directorate of Information Systems.
During the webinar, officer Al Eidrous presented in detail the digital services offered by the Ministry of Interior for the general public through Metrash2 and the website of the Ministry of Interior .
More than 200 people including HR and admin officers, PROs and government relations officers of the public and private companies, establishments and organizations attended the event.
