Ukraine - OSCE SMM records almost 350 ceasefire violations over weekend


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine recorded 343 ceasefire violations between the evenings of January 14 and 16.

“In Donetsk region, between the evenings of January 14 and 16, the SMM recorded 129 ceasefire violations, including 20 explosions (four airbursts and 16 undetermined),” reads the OSCE SMM daily report 10/2022 issued on January 17, 2022.

The majority of ceasefire violations occurred in areas north and north-north-east of Shyrokyne (government-controlled, 100km south of Donetsk) and east of Maiorsk (government-controlled, 45km north-east of Donetsk).

In Luhansk region, over the same period, the SMM recorded 214 ceasefire violations, including 118 undetermined explosions.

All ceasefire violations occurred in areas south-west and north-east of the disengagement area near Zolote (government-controlled, 60km west of Luhansk).
