Japan states tsunami cautionary following big volcanic explosion

(MENAFN) A tsunami notice was announced for Japan's whole east coast, in addition to the southern Amami island and the Takara island chain.

A tsunami caused by the undersea volcanic explosion has already hit the Pacific nation of Tonga and prompted multiple other nations to announce cautions, counting the United States and Japan, and the explosion was so big it was witnessed from space.

Inhabitants were cautioned to leave seaside and riverside parts and look for higher ground for Sunday morning, January 16, with waves that will likely be three meters.
