Qatar - BPQ holds 'Unsung Heroes of Bengal' event

Bangiya Parishad Qatar, an Indian socio-cultural organisation, has held a patriotic cultural event titled 'Unsung Heroes of Bengal' as a tribute to all those heroes who have sacrificed their life for the Motherland, in line with 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' in order to celebrate the 75th year of Indian Independence. BPQ also felicitated its ex-presidents to celebrate the organisation's 25th year at the Ashoka Hall, Indian Cultural Centre (ICC).
Indian ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal graced the occasion, and the event was also attended by Sachin Dinkar, first secretary, Culture & Education, Indian embassy; Xavier Dhanraj, first secretary, Consular & Community; P N Baburajan, ICC president; Ziad Usman, Indian Community Benevolent Forum president; and other dignitaries.
Biswajit Banerji, BPQ president, started the event by felicitating the ambassador. All other dignitaries were also felicitated.
Dr Mittal lauded the efforts of BPQ in remembering the great sons of Bengal and India who sacrificed their life for the Motherland.
