Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: On Thursday, November 25, Alliance Française Abu Dhabi were delighted to welcome young talents with special needs or disabilities to present a temporary exhibition, entitled “People of Determination & Talents celebrate 50 years” within its premises as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of United Arab Emirates.
These young talents are amazing students of the Emirati visual artist and art therapist, Dr. Nada Al Ameri, owner of Reflections Art Gallery. They had the pleasure to exhibit in the unique presence of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Chairperson of the Sheikha Jawaher Al Khalifa Foundation for Youth Empowerment, an ambitious woman who emphasizes and supports the significance of developing youth empowerment media and social programs, a visit alongside Mr. Hugo Henry-Ceylan, Director, Counsellor for cooperation and cultural affairs at the French Embassy in UAE and Mr. Franck Trouilloud, Director of Alliance Française Abu Dhabi.
On this occasion, People of Determination and talents wished to pay tribute to the nation through many artworks representing the wonderful cultural heritage of the United Arab Emirates in colors of joy and love as an expression of the attachment to the country, which embodies a spirit of generosity and living together. It was also a mix media using colors of nature from different soils and sand from the UAE regions.
The artist Nada Al Ameri develops her arts in making a difference on the lives of People of determination.
“Our main mission is to connect people with the medium of art to see, experience, learn and understand the world in new ways at Reflections Art Gallery. I started working with People of Determination since 2006 and I have many initiatives with them, especially with the visually impaired. I teach and educate them on how to paint through primary, secondary and tertiary colors using the sense of touch and smell.” said Dr. Nada Al Ameri.
Few days ago, she inaugurated a new exhibition , titled Âme روح at Alliance Française Abu Dhabi, in presence of H.E. Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh Chancellor of the UAE University and Cultural Adviser at the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs, among which an artwork on 50 canvas painted by People of Determination represents a sumptuous“Dallah”.

About the Emirati artist Dr. Nada Al Ameri, owner of Reflections Art Gallery:
Nada Al Ameri is an Emirati visual artist who was born in 1979. She is a Reservoir Engineer with a background in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Master's degree in History of Art and Museums Mediation and Conservation at Sorbonne University and PhD in Art therapy, she is also an accredited Art Therapist by the American Association for Art and Music USA 2016. She also has a medical lab license from her experience in the medical field. She has done internships at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
She is the owner of Reflections Art Gallery in Abu Dhabi, Nada is an effective member of ADMAF and General Women Union. She designs logos and has awarded prizes in 2012 for a Ferrari Car Installation Design, and followed by other awards in different occasions. She exhibited artworks since 1985, and still continues exhibiting in multiple galleries and cultural centers throughout UAE and abroad. She also sold artworks in auctions, including Sotheby's and Christie's galleries. She has successfully done art residencies in Italy, France and Germany. She develop her arts in making a difference on the lives of people of determination, since 2006.
