Chinese financial proceeds rise 16.3 pct in Jan.-Sep. period


(MENAFN) On Friday, Oct. 22 state-owned news outlet Xinhua said in a report that the Chinese financial proceeds surged 16.3 percent during the January-September period of 2021.

It reported that Finance Ministry figures showed that China’s financial proceeds reached 16.4 trillion yuan (USD2.56 trillion) in the first three quarters.

The government's tax proceeds came to about USD2,2 trillion in the cited period – a rise by 18.4 percent year-over-year.

Proceeds from value-added tax, the greatest source of financial proceeds in the country, surged 17.4 percent from the corresponding period of 2020 when it hit around USD784 billion.
