Iran produces 116,193 tons of alumina powder in 1H


(MENAFN) In the first half of the current Iranian year, Iran has produced 116,193 tons of alumina powder.

The number shows five percent decrease as compared to the output in the same time span of the last year, according to the report.

Aluminum oxide thatis commonly called alumina, is an inert, odorless, white amorphous material often used in industrial ceramics.

Alumina is considered a main ceramic material for industrial applications. The various fields of application vary from construction materials, to filling materials, in addition to abrasives and compounds.

Alumina ceramics are mainly used for wear and corrosion protection in plants and mechanical engineering.
