Saudi-Belgian Parliamentary Friendship Committee Virtually Meets with Belgian Counterpart, Discusses Parliamentary Cooperation Ties between Two Countries


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, Oct. 19, 2021, SPA -- The Saudi-Belgian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, headed by Shura Council member Dr. Ayman bin Saleh Fadel, who heads the committee, held a virtual meeting with its Belgian counterpart chaired by head of the Belgian- Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Belgian Parliament Nawal Farih, with the participation of members of the committee.
Talks during the meeting highlighted the importance of bilateral ties that connect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Belgium, and the significance to support and enhance them at various levels in a way that realizes the interests of both friendly countries and develops the level of cooperation that the two countries witness at all levels, mainly at the parliamentary level.
For her part, Farih praised the methods that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia followed in dealing with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the procedures it implemented.
She also discussed issues of mutual interest that aim at enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries, activating the role of the two parliamentary friendship committees through exchanging visits and expertise between the two sides, citing their important role in boosting ties.
The meeting also reviewed means to boost cooperation in the educational fields and green energy development from natural resources.
