Tunisia hold discussions with Saudi Arabia, UAE to get funds


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Oct.16 a senior banker stated that Tunisia’s Central Bank is in advanced discussions with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to get funds.

Abdel Karim Lassoud, the bank’s general director of finance and external payments, conveyed the report to the local Shams FM radio, with no additional details.

There were no remarks from Saudi and Emirati authorities on the report.

It is essential for the North African nation to reach a deal with the International Monetary Fund so as “to introduce important reforms to the Tunisian economy," Lassoud added.
