India has proposed a National Security Advisors (NSA) level meeting of the regional countries on Afghanistan that will be carried out in person in the Indian capital New Delhi.

The meeting that comes off on November 10-11 will be attended by key stakeholders in the region including China, Russia, and Pakistan.

India has sent the Pakistani NSA Yusuf Moeed the invitation at a time when border tension between the two countries has escalated recently.

The meeting is rumored to be concentrating on preventing the looming humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

In the meantime, Russia is also willing to host a meeting on Afghanistan on October 20 in which the Taliban will also be taking part.

The regional countries are apparently worried about the reappearance of the ISIS-K in Afghanistan that is feared to be threatening the security of the central Asian countries and others in the region.

The group has recently warned not to spare Shi'ite Muslims anywhere from Baghdad to Khorasan.
