U.S. diplomat welcomes 'frank, productive' review of bilateral relations in Russia visit


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Oct. 13 US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland praised “the frank, productive review” of bilateral ties carried out with Kremlin officials in Moscow.

Jason Rebholz, spokesman for the US Embassy in Moscow, tweeted: “under Secretary Nuland: Very much appreciated the frank, productive review of U.S.-Russia relations with Deputy Head of Presidential Administration Ushakov at the Kremlin this morning.”

He further said: “we remain committed to a stable, predictable relationship.”

Nuland reached the Russian capital on Monday and has convened with several senior Russian officials in the visit, comprising Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov and the Russian president’s international affairs aide Yury Ushakov, and Dmitry Kozak, deputy chief of staff of the Presidential Executive Office.
