ASEZA supports tourism sector to attract tourists, says official


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Aqaba, Sep. 28 (Petra) -- Financial support provided by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) to various tourism sectors in the Golden Triangle, including the Ayla Oasis Development Company, aims to implement cultural and tourism activities to attract domestic and foreign tourists in a bide to overcome the fallout of the Covid pandemic, an official said Tuesday.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Deputy Chairman of ASEZA's Board of Commissioners Sharhabeel Madi stated that the authority is working to exploit the site of the Gulf city of Aqaba as part of the Golden Triangle- Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba- to make it one of the most important tourist cities in the Red Sea shores.
He also indicated that ASEZA builds partnerships with major tourism institutions with the aim of developing the city and attracting investment and tourist groups to Aqaba.
