(MENAFN) On Friday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index ended the day at 1,384.68 points, decreased 1.2 percent from the last close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index dropped 16.78 points from Thursday’s end of 1,401.46 points, after opening the day at 1,394.95 points.
During the day, the index’s lowest rate stood at 1,376.01 points, as its daily high amounted at 1,397.36 points.
With a daily trading rate of more than 13.2 billion Turkish liras (USD1.5 billion), the total market value of the BIST 100 stood at 1.05 trillion Turkish liras (USD121 billion) by market close.
In comparison to Thursday’s close, a total of 23 stocks on the index increased, 75 dropped, and two remained unchanged.
