Saudi Arabia adds 2 new silos to its existing infrastructure


(MENAFN) An Al-Eqtisadiyah report showed that Arabia added two new silos to its infrastructure raising its strategic grain storage capacity 37 percent.

The reported further declared referring to SAGO Gov. Ahmed Al-Faris, the Saudi Grains Organizations completed the Yanbu Silos Project with a storage capacity of 120,000 tons and it is working on adding a new one with the same capacity in Duba port.

Saudi strategic storage capacity of grains rose by 900,000 tons to 3.4 million amid 2015 and 2021, Al-Faris also stated.

The Kingdom has reached self-reliance in many products such as fresh milk, eggs, dates and white corn etc, according to the SAGO chief.
