(MENAFN) In the January-June period of 2021, China Everbright Bank, a joint-stock lender, witnessed its net income increase 22.2 percent from the very period of 2020 hitting 22.51 billion yuan (around USD3.48 billion).
The bank's operating profit stood at about USD11,93 billion, a rise by 6.8 percent year over year.
Its non-performing loan ratio reached 1.36 percent at the end of June, lower by 0.02 percentage points from the start of the year. The provision coverage rate came in at 184.06 percent, higher by 1.35 percentage points from at the start of the year.
The lender has increased its backing to the manufacturing industry and private companies to shore up the real economy.
