King departs for Cairo

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — his majesty King Abdullah on Thursday departed for Cairo, where he is scheduled to participate in a trilateral summit with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, within the framework of ongoing coordination between the three countries.

King Abdullah's participation in the summit is in line with Jordan's diplomatic efforts to support the just rights of the Palestinians and to improve their living conditions, in addition to enabling the suitable environment to relaunch negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis, on the basis of the two-state solution, according to a Royal Court statement.

In Amman, HRH Prince Ali was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
