Yemen: Houthis hit by Saudi-led air raids in Marib

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Aug. 25 a Yemeni military source stated that the Saudi-led Arab coalition conducted intensive air raids on the Houthi posts and their reinforcements in the Yemeni central province of Marib in the last 24 hours.

The source said to Xinhua on condition of remaining anonymous that the air raids aimed at the Houthis in four frontlines in the western districts of Sirwah and Rahabah, leaving scores dead and demolishing a number of vehicles transferring arms and combatants.

In the meantime, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV stated that 17 coalition air raids on the Houthi posts in Sirwah and Rahabah in the past 24 hours, without offering more information.

The Houthis started in February a major attack on Marib in a bid to take control of the oil-rich province, the administration's last northern stronghold.
