(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Shaqab’s best bloodlines horses were auctioned at the Longines Indoor Arena at Al Shaqab on Friday. Organised by Al Shaqab and Al Rayyan Farm, the overall auction yielded an excess of 3.5mn in Qatari Riyals with many lots reaching well above QR200,000. The 35 mares were in much demand in foal auction, which saw some of Al Shaqab’s best bloodlines being offered to a captivated audience. The auction had both straight Egyptian and purebred Arabians.
