Some 50,000 people visit Aqaba during Eid holiday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Aqaba, July 24 (Petra) -- More than 50,000 people flocked to Aqaba during the Eid al-Adha holiday, according to a senior official.
Sharhabeel Madi, Commissioner for Economic Affairs in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA), Saturday told journalists that vaccination against COVID-19 amongst hospitality staff stands at 84 percent, the largest in Jordan.
Madi said visitors in the southern portal city have abided by health measures and had to present a vaccination certificate or a PCR test before being allowed in the city.
