Bangladesh: 2 homebound buses crash kills 6 holidaymakers, injuries 30


(MENAFN)Two homebound buses were involved in a head-on crash and resulted in more than six holidaymakers were killed and 30 others wounded.

Six holidaymakers were killed and 30 others injured quoted miruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Mithapukur police station as saying that five people, including the driver of a bus, were dead at the scene in the northern Rangpur district as one died in hospital. Two wounded are in critical condition.

He added that the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Rangpur's Mithapukur sub-district area as a Dhaka-bound bus and the other bound for the northern Dinajpur district collided while moving in the opposite direction.
