The topics on the agenda were the expansion and diversification of the economic-commercial partnership between the countries, security issues in the two regions, the possibility of expanding Morocco's trade with Mercosur, bilateral cooperation, in addition to regional and international matters of common interest, according to information released by the two ministries.

“Morocco has stood out, at the international level, as a relevant player for peacekeeping, security, and religious tolerance, whose balanced positions have contributed to the construction of consensus and peaceful resolution of conflicts and crises,” informed the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the meeting.

Morocco and Brazil have an important trade partnership, as the Arab country is a major supplier of fertilizers, essential for the South American country's national agriculture. Brazil, in turn, exports agricultural products such as sugar and corn to the Arab country. Last year, the two countries had a bilateral trade balance of USD 1.8 billion.
