Shanghai to rise its statutory least salary since pandemic


(MENAFN)According to local authorities, Shanghai is going to rise its statutory least salary from 2,480 yuan (about USD383) to 2,590 yuan from 1st of July on monthly basis, turning it back to one of the highest rates reached in Shanghai.

The municipal human resources and social security department stated that the least salary for every hour is going to surge from 22 yuan to 23 yuan.

Social security costs are excepted from the least salary, as well as housing payments and overtime wage.

In addition, from the time when corona-virus pandemic began, this is the first time Shanghai increases its statutory least salary.
