Vietnam: Fruit export to China sees increase


(MENAFN)According to the country's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on Wednesday, June 16, Vietnam's fruit export to China enjoyed burly increase in the first five months of 2021 in spite of the coronavirus pandemic.

Local media Vietnam News quoted the ministry's newest report as stating that throughout the months, Vietnam exported more than 468,000 tons of mangoes to China, 12 percent higher than the total volume of last year; 348,000 tons of bananas, 87 percent of the volume of 2020; and 301,000 tons of jackfruit, 92 percent of the volume of 2020, along with others.

According to the statement, up to now, 1,703 planting regions and 1,776 packing facilities in Vietnam that produce fresh fruit and goods have been granted codes for exporting to China.
