VTC starts sessions on speech craft

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) VIP Toastmasters Club (VTC) recently started a speech craft session for new and aspiring members. The online registration evoked good response from residents of Qatar as well as aspiring candidates from India. Toastmaster Dr Panos Korelis from Greece co-ordinated the effort supported by the club coaches – Vicky Ferrer from California, US and Nalini G Mathur from Qatar.
The session on speech craft will be conducted every Monday until June 14.
The hour-long online meeting started with the introduction of the participants. Dr Panos put all participants at ease by conversing to each one of them individually. Anupama Kasibhatla, Division E director, conducted the educational session with basics of how to craft a speech. The session was more of interactive than just a lecture. At the end, there was a question and answer session which the participants utilised to clarify doubts.
Dr Panos will select four of the participants who are ready to deliver their ice-breaker speech in the upcoming session on May 31.
VTC president Jothinathan thanked the co-ordinators and the participants. Area 11 director Asokan Karuvankandiyil and Club VPE Ramani Ramamoorthy supported in organising the meeting. All participants joined the regular meeting of the club after the session and had a glimpse of how a good meeting was conducted.
