South Africans demonstrate in solidarity with Palestine over Nakba Day

(MENAFN)Hundreds of South Africans demonstrated in unity with Palestine to remember Nakba Day 73 years of Palestinian occupation and ordered the government end relations with Israel.

Anadolu Agency quoted Iqbal Jassat, an executive at the Media Review Network advocacy group as saying that “The South African government has a distinct moral and legal responsibility to take urgent steps to shut down apartheid Israel’s Embassy; prevent El Al Air from operating at OR Tambo International Airport.”

South Africa should call on the African Union to immediately assemble and resolve to take actions to depart all "normalization" measures with Israel on the continent.

She further stated that “As long as Israel only sees words of condemnation and no actions to back up these words then it’s going to continue with its violence against Palestinians with its apartheid practices.”
